Winter in Tatranska Strba

Hill Lieskovec

Take a few panoramas after running up the Lieskovec, located in the immediate vicinity of the outdoor area of Monte Amnis Apartment. After a short walk to the top along the beehive, you will get to a magical place from which you can admire the panoramic scenery of the magnificent peaks of the High and Western Tatras, the meadows of the basin - Podtatranská kotlina and the distant mountain range - Low Tatras.

Skating - Strbsky rybnik/pond

The nearby pond is a picturesque place to rest and recharge energy. During the winter months, when the pond freezes, it becomes an ice kingdom for little figure skaters and hockey players.

Snowkiting

Discover the beauties of the sub-Tatra nature from a back of a horse! Just 7km from the apartment in the village of Mengusovce, there is a year-round equestrian school, offering its services to beginners as well as advanced riders in an open riding hall and even directly in the surrounding nature.

Rack railway

A newly reconstructed rack railway will take you from Tatranska Strba directly to Strbske pleso after an 8min walk from the apartment to the railway station. The rack railways in Tatranská Štrba is one of the two rack railways in Slovakia, transporting excited tourists between stations Tatranska Strba and Strbske pleso since 1896. In its early years it was power by a steam system and operated until 1936, being renewed in 1970 on the occasion of the Nordic World Championships, and finally in 2021 it underwent extensive reconstruction. There is only one intermediate stop on the track - Tatransky Lieskovec.
